Situated at the heart of Alsace in the North East of France, the lycée Joseph Storck of Guebwiller is a successful catering college for pupils aged between 15 and 22.

The region is renowned for its wealth of history, culture, natural beauty, and not forgetting its fine cuisine. Geographically speaking, Alsace - Strasbourg in particular - certainly lives up its title o European capital : bordering with Germany as well as Switzerland, Alsace has the privilege of watching the French, German and Swiss cultures meet and blossom.

Primarily a catering college, The Lycée Joseph Storck also provides vocationnal training, notably in the fields of marketing and hotel mangement for its 600 students. The pupil's acdemic development and success is largely due to the various work placement and exchanges they undretake throughout their education. The training periods, lasting on average 5 weeks, allow the students to gain not only a valuable insight into the catering and retail industries , but also to develop new and existing skills. As a result, the college has established a good working relationship with many hotels, restaurants and companies throughout Alsace and France, but is now setting its sight accross the Chanel.

The command of english is considered to be essential part of the students' education here at the Lycée Storck, and in order to support and promote this learning, the team of English and European sections (Economics and cooking) teachers is very keen to organise a partnership or twinning scheme with similar establishment in Europe.
